Christmas with the Aliens
Wow! Year 1 and Year 2 put on an incredible performance of a 'Christmas with the Aliens'. A big thank you for everyone that put this together including Mrs Freer, Mrs Roberts, Mrs Pearcy, Mrs Jackson and all the parents that gave up their time to support. The last couple of weeks have been very stressful but the results have been fantastic. I can honestly say that it is the best KS1 show I've seen and the children did a fantastic job! It is also great to see so many children mature and grow in confidence this week. Well done again Year 1 and Year 2 (sorry if your child is not in the photos, it was quite difficult taking photos and directing at the same time).

Nativity Story
Year 2 have been learning more about the Nativity Story. We worked in groups to sequence the story from beginning to end. Then we added some time connectives for each part of the story. We will use our picture boards to help us with retelling the Nativity Story in our extended writing lesson on Friday.

Turning, turning, round and round
In Maths, we have been learning about turns.
We can make quarter, half, three-quarters and a whole turn. Practise some turns at home.
Have fun!
Super Science
We had a fun science lesson today. We learnt that different materials can be solid or
liquid. Year 2 children had to make predictions about what would happen when different
materials were heated.
The items included:
an egg
butter
milk
chocolate
The children made some good predictions and recorded the information into a table. Then
they had to describe what happened and what they learnt. Can you describe what you think
they found out from looking at the photos?
