The Year 2 mocktail bar is open!

We have made mocktails and they were really tasty. We used Orange juice,Cherry juice,lime juice and much more.Mocktails are cocktails but with out alchohol. We were practising our measuring skills from this week. We were a bit like George from Georges Marvellous Medicine.

Homework this week

World book day has taken over our school for the week! So join us in sharing a story, spending just 10 minutes a day reading and sharing stories with children can make a crucial difference to their outcome and its fun for all involved. Traction Man's mini sidekicks have arrived!

This is Super Freddie. He delivers soap to his friend Super Sparrow. He has a digger and a racing car to help him.

This is Golden Delicious. She has a golden apple that is actually a bomb in case she ever meets Professor Sweets. Will she be victorious in this battle?

This is Cat Man. He is a goalkeeper by day but at the end of the match when it becomes night, he turns into a cat. He's always about to save the day. 

This is Shimmer Girl. She can control the weather with her hands. Watch out as she has guard dogs and a rocket to escape on. 

This is Star Girl. She carries stars with her but watch out,they are super sharp and will catch any villain. 

This is Magnet Man. Tools of the trade are stretchy arms with magnetic hands,no problem too big!

This super Pan Man. He carries a frying pan just in case he meets baddies. By day he is known as Stan. 

This is Super E. She lives up in space protecting her friends. She can control slime. 

This is WW. He has a mission to save the forks evil from carrot sticks, he will have his trusty plate scrubber to shoot lasers. 

This is Loo Roll Man. His weapon is a toilet brush and his first battle is to be against Evil Toilet. He has a cape made from Loo roll so it is easily replaced. When required he can do a bit of magic with his toilet brush.

This is Shiny Girl. She can control anything that is shiny. 

I am Can-Do Girl. She has a headband that shoots rainbow lasers,wrist bands that have power and she fights crime. I am called Can-Do Girl because I know I can do something when I try. 

This is Captain C. Watch out as if she needs to battle you she has melted chocolate that comes out of her wristbands and it will stick to whoever she fires at. She fights the Evil Caterpillar. 

This is Cat Girl. She can turn from am little girl to a cat whenever she wants. She can climb almost anything using her claws. Dexter Dog is in for a surprise when they meet. 

This heroine is Wonder Locks. With that beautiful hair she can save people. Her mission is to wrap up baddies and save the world. 

This is Super E. She is blessed with super speed and can get around the world in minutes. Her battle with Evil Butterfly will be the worst the world has ever seen. 

This is KO Man. He can teleport anywhere in the world. He can also be invisible so no one sees him. His next deadly battle is against Ice Cream Man,but will the evil character be expecting KO's secret weapon?!

This is Super S. She has a trusty sidekick called Super Bunny and together they save the day. Their next battle could be the most ferocious yet,what will happen when they come face to face with deadly pillows?

This is Love Heart Girl. She spreads the love and makes sure that no one argues. 

His is Shadow Wolf. He can turn into a wold whenever he wants, he has a supersonic howl that can break glass and he can fly. Watch out for his next battle against the Evil Robot. 

This is Super S. When she wears her glitter trousers she can use the sparkly bits to make people disappear. She has a magic cage which traps the baddy. 

This is Hand Man. He is able to change into any sea creature so that he can guard the sea. In this first battle he will fight against the Evil Fish. 

This is Solar Surfer. He has wrist cuffs which shoot fire towards baddies. He can fly around no problem. He is waiting for his next battle. 

This is Super K. 

Our favourite maths game this week

We have loved playing this game. It has really helped us with our recognition of multiples. We also like playing against one another. Not that we are competitive!

Homework

Monday 5^th February 2018 This isn't due until after half term so you have 2 weeks to complete it.

In English we have been working on Traction Man and the children have really enjoyed reading this. The children have decided that they would like to further this by developing their own characters and stories.

Over this week and the week of half term we would like you to design your own superhero. If possible you should then make your costume out of things you have in the house like bin bags for a cape, toilet roll tubes as wrist bands etc.
Don't forget to take photos!

If you could then think of an adventure to go on in the style of Traction Man (remember the sink and the Poisonous Dishcloth!) and map it out on your cartoon strip.
